Since operations commenced in 1984, the Terminal has been on a journey of continuous improvement and sustainability.

As the stewards of the Terminal since 2011, NQXT and Abbot Point Operations have deepened this focus on sustainability and sustainable operations. We have identified five sustainability focus areas which align with our objective of protecting the people and the environment in which we operate. We are committed to putting sustainability at the core of our business and aligning our sustainability focus areas with global initiatives, such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).
