Working with Traditional Owners

The Juru People are the Traditional Owners of the lands and waters surrounding the Terminal.

We have a positive working relationship with the Traditional Owners.

Our operator APO works closely with Traditional Owner-endorsed business Juru Enterprises Limited (JEL) on a range of projects, including weed and pest management, notably for Weeds of National Significance (WONS) in the Terminal leasehold and in conjunction with neighbouring landowners. This partnership enables Traditional Owners to develop their skills and work on Country.

We will continue to work with JEL to expand the opportunities and deliver on our long-term commitment to create economic opportunities for Traditional Owners.
