Samir Vora

Executive Director

Samir Vora has more than 25 years of diversified experience in international trading, infrastructure and the resource sector. In his current capacity as Executive Director Adani Australia, Samir oversees the Adani Group’s business activities in Australia.

Samir joined Adani Group in 1994 and has worked to develop the coal-mining business in India, as well as the creation of our solar photovoltaic manufacturing facility in Gujarat. He holds a Bachelor of Science from California State University, USA.

Praveen Khandelwal

Director

Mr Praveen Khandelwal is a qualified Chartered Accountant with more than 22 years of industry experience

Prior to joining Adani in 2008, he worked with Jindal Steel and Power Limited and Reliance Industries Limited and has wide experience and in-depth understanding of the infrastructure, steel, power and mining sectors

Mr Khandelwal has been Chief Financial Officer for the Australian business of the Adani Group since September 2010 and is responsible for accounting, corporate finance, taxation, strategic planning, and other related matters

Arun Sharma

Non-executive Director

Professor Sharma is the Chairman of QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute and a Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the Queensland University of Technology.

He has played a leadership role in the development of Australian research capability in information and communication technology. He was co-founder of National ICT Australia Limited, Head of the School of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of New South Wales and served as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Commercialisation) at QUT during 2004-19

He has held a number of advisory roles, including the Australian Research Council, Queensland Premier’s Smart State Council and the Queensland Premier’s Business Roundtable. He has also served as President of the Australia India Business Council (Queensland Chapter) and as its National Chairman during 2011-2012

Paul Devlin

Independent Director

Mr Paul Devlin has more than 31 years’ experience in Australasia’s banking and finance industry, having undertaken a variety of roles with banks in both Australia and New Zealand. He has wide industry experience and acts as non-executive director for a number of private companies operating in Australia

Mr Devlin is a graduate and Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors
